Christian’s successful culinary career was inevitable from the passionate nature of his personality to his nomadic search for cultural experiences and inspiration.
Christian has spent his 25 years in hospitality across three different continents and 12 different countries. Currently he is the Senior Director of Culinary, Europe for Marriott International where he is responsible for the implementation of culinary programs, processes, and initiatives for Europe, working effectively with property management teams. He provides operational & creative expertise for all of pre-openings and hotel conversions and concept development.
Before joining Marriott International in Frankfurt, Christian worked as the Executive Chef at the Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain, one of the leading Ritz-Carlton properties in the Middle East, and Harrod’s London where he was responsible for the world-famous Harrods Food Hall. Christian has also worked for international leading brands such as IHG and Fairmont Raffles Hotels International.
This international renowned chef brings with him an array of global experience and influences from both one and two star Michelin restaurants as well as leading multi complex properties from countries such as the UAE, Indonesia, Philippines, Spain, Turkey, Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
Christian currently is impassioned by the topic of sustainability and the massive impact this will have on the next generation of culinary leaders coming through Marriott International.
