With over 25 years of brand strategy and international marketing experience from diverse industries such as hospitality & tourism, sports apparel, consumer electronics and toys & gaming, Mr. Schumann brings a comprehensive, common-sense yet sometimes untraditional approach to the table.
In his previous role as Head of Brands & Field Marketing for Hyatt Hotels International for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Southwest Asia, Mr. Schumann co-championed the COVID-19 recovery strategy plans for the hotels and outlets across the region with regards to marketing, promotions, loyalty, social media and on-property communication.
In quieter times, Mr. Schumann also led the (re)branding, positioning and marketing efforts for properties such as Hôtel du Palais in Biarritz, The Martinez in Cannes, The Great Scotland Yard Hotel, Hôtel du Louvre, Parisi Udvar Hotel Budapest, Park Hyatt Dubai, Andaz Munich, Andaz Vienna and The Wellem in Dusseldorf among others.
Prior to his hospitality experience, Mr. Schumann held senior management roles for companies such as Adidas/Reebok, GoPro and Mattel overseeing and implementing brand strategy, retail marketing and partnerships across EMEA. He holds a BSC in Marketing and BA in Spanish from Santa Clara University in California.
