During fourteen years in the world of interior design, Nina has designed elegant interiors for many of the top global hotel brands from London to Moscow to China.
Nina founded Nina+Co in 2014 to select like-minded clients and pioneering projects with a strong focus on sustainability and a sense of community. As well as designing thoughtful and beautiful interiors, Nina collaborates with craftsmen, artisans to create furniture, lighting and tableware using innovative, recycled and bio-materials that will either biodegrade or easily disassemble for repurposing in the future. Nina aims to close the loop, thinking in a circular way, considering where materials come from and where they’ll end up. Nina recently completed Silo London, a zero-waste restaurant from chef Douglas McMaster, voted Condé Nast’s ‘Best Restaurant in London, 2019’ - the interior features cocktail lounge seating grown from mycelium, and a twelve-metre dining bar made from re-formed polyester packaging waste.
Other projects include Luminary Bakery, a social enterprise that empowers women from disadvantaged backgrounds; Dean Street Cafe, Soho, run by the homelessness charity Centrepoint and funded by the Mayor of London; and Good Hotel Antigua, an ethical, luxury hotel brand that trains long-term unemployed and funds the education of local children.
