Ramjan Bhugeloo has recently joined Hyatt International EAME as Regional Vice President Human Resources, base out of Zurich and overlooking Europe, Central Asia, North Africa and Near East. He is responsible for the oversight of efficient Human Resources operations of the hotels, promoting Hyatt’s purpose, ensuring that the correct standards of operation, profitability, legal and financial fiduciary requirements are strictly adhered to at all times, while achieving maximum guest, owner and employee satisfaction. He is also actively involved in the opening of new hotels, in recruiting the management team and assisting the Human Resources team to set up the HR function. Currently there are 52 operating hotels in his purview with another 6 to open in 2019.
Prior to moving to Hyatt’s regional office in Zurich, Ramjan held similar responsibilities for Hyatt International’s South West Asia division since August 2010 as well as Director of Hyatt International SW Asia since 2015 and was overlooking Human Resources function of Hyatt’s existing and pre-opening hotels in the Indian sub-continent, Middle East and Africa.
Before his assignment to Hyatt’s Divisional Office in Dubai, Ramjan Bhugeloo was Director of Human Resources for Hyatt International’s operation based out of the Corporate Office in Chicago, overseeing the implementation of Human Resources Corporate Strategies for International hotels worldwide and with a particular emphasis on learning and development initiatives.
Ramjan Bhugeloo started his career with Hyatt in 1984 in the Food and Beverage Department and later moved to Human Resources. He has worked for Hyatt in Saudi Arabia, Morocco, South Africa, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, USA and UAE, and has opened hotels and hotel restaurants in several other countries including, Korea, France, Poland, Ethiopia, Kuwait and Maldives.
