As a Non-Executive Director at a software company, Michael promotes paperless operations through digitisation in the hospitality sector.
His commitment to sustainability is evidenced by his Fellowship with the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA) and as a certified lead environmental auditor for ISO 14001. Michael advocates for the Triple Bottom Line approach, integrating environmental and social responsibilities into business strategies and food and beverage operations.
In his previous role as Corporate Director of Food and Beverage for Europe and India for Hyatt, Michael spearheaded major environmental initiatives for his region. As an industry thought leader, he lectures on sustainability at the Basque Culinary Centre, emphasising the Triple Bottom Line and inspiring future leaders to prioritise planet and people as success metrics in the same way hotels currently focus on revenue and profit.
