David Martin

Global Head of Restaurants and Bars, Corinthia Hotel Group

With all his working life being spent in hospitality David is now Global Head of Restaurants and Bars for the Corinthia Hotel Group. David joined the industry at the age of 15, and at 21 was promoted into a General Manager role for a pub/restaurant business.

David has since worked for many respectable brands including Gordon Ramsay Restaurants where he spent 13 years progressing from General Manager to International Operations Director of the group which involved leading, driving, and growing the global restaurant portfolio with locations in Asia, Middle East, Europe and USA. From this he gained a wealth of knowledge creatively and operationally, giving him a well-rounded outlook on everything to do with restaurants, bars, and hospitality in general. In addition, David lead the project for Gordons first cookery school ‘The Gordon Ramsay Academy’ developing and implementing all elements with the team.

Now with Corinthia, David will work on the development of new brands and concepts and will also comfortably challenge existing businesses in ways to improve and grow. Through everything from more casual to the most premium and fine dining concepts, David’s ultimate aim is to deliver exceptional, authentic hospitality and create memorable experiences for guests.

When not working and travelling David enjoys spending time with his energetic two young children and amazing (understanding) wife.
